Although the principle was developed as early as 1878 by Heinrich Krigar in Hannover, the construction was only perfected after the second world war. The Swedish company "Svenska Rotor Maskiner" (SRM) developed the screw compressor technically to series standard.
Screw compressors operate on the displacement principle. Two parallel rotors with different profiles work in opposite directions inside a housing. |
