powered elevator | Conveyance by compressed air is found in mechanisation and automation. In these applications, motors and cylinders are used for timed or untimed conveyance, or according to work processes. Automated storage and receipt also belongs in this category, as does the turn-around of tools and other items on longer conveyor belts.
Another variation of pneumatic transport is the conveyance of bulk material and liquids through pipes. With this method, granulates, corn, powder and small parts can be quickly and comfortably conveyed over relatively long distances. The pneumatic post concept also belongs in this category. |
