| Compressed air receivers may only be continuously used for compressors with intermittent and idling modes. The area of pressure fluctuation Dp must not exceed 20 % of the maximum operating pressure (max. compressor pressure 10 bar, Dp = 2 bar). If pressure fluctuations are greater, the welding seams may break as a result of fatigue over the course of time. The compressed air receiver must then be specially designed for fluctuating stress. |
